Tehran, Iran – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, had his new social media account on platform X suspended after posting two messages in Hebrew. This suspension followed an attack by Israel on Iran, which resulted in the death of four Iranian soldiers and one civilian.
Iran’s Response to Israeli Attacks
Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, confirmed the casualties. Khamenei emphasized the need for Iran to convey its power to Israel, stating that the impacts of Israel’s actions should neither be exaggerated nor dismissed.
Khamenei criticized the global community, including the United Nations, for not stopping what he described as Israel’s war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon. He called for a global coalition against the Zionist regime.
Iran’s Stance on War
Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, stated that while Iran does not seek war, it will defend its people and respond proportionately to Israeli aggression. He expressed condolences to the families of the Iranian soldiers who died.
Israel’s airstrikes targeted missile manufacturing facilities and military bases in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces, causing limited damage according to Iran’s air force.
