Iran Cancels All Flights Amid Tensions with Israel

Tehran, Iran – On October 26, Iran’s aviation authority announced the cancellation of all flights due to rising tensions and security concerns in West Asia. This decision was confirmed by Ja’far Yazerlou, spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation. The announcement followed Israeli attacks on several locations in Iran, including Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces. Iran’s air defense reported that the attacks caused limited damage and are under investigation.

Iranian state media, citing the air defense force, stated that Iran is prepared to respond to Israeli aggression. The Tasnim news outlet reported that Iran reserves the right to retaliate proportionally to any actions taken by Israel.

In response, Israel Defence Force spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari released a video affirming that Israel had achieved its objectives and warned that any further escalation by Iran would be met with a strong response. He emphasized Israel’s military readiness and determination to defend its state and citizens.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the attacks, stating that the strikes were in retaliation for recent Iranian attacks on Israel. The targets included missile manufacturing facilities posing threats to Israeli citizens. This strike was a response to ongoing attacks from Iran and its allies since October 7.
