Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport Receives Hoax Bomb Threat

The Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, received a hoax bomb threat on Friday. An unidentified person sent an email threatening a bomb blast at the airport.

Security Measures Taken

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Alok Kumar Sharma stated that airport authorities, local police, and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted security arrangements and drills. The threat was later found to be a hoax.

Legal Action

A case under section 507 (criminal intimidation by anonymous communication) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the unidentified person.

Previous Incident

Earlier, on June 19, the airport received a similar bomb threat via email, which also mentioned other cities. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Zone 1) Vinod Kumar Meena confirmed that a case was registered and investigations are ongoing. Past threats have also been reported.
