Indore Police Arrest Six in Connection with Minor’s Abduction and Rape
In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, police have arrested six individuals, including two women, following the abduction and rape of a 17-year-old girl. The incident came to light when the girl filed a complaint at Chandan Nagar police station on November 14. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rishikesh Meena, explained that the girl had been in contact with a woman named Komal, also known as Ayesha, and her husband Mohammad Adil, also known as Golu, from Dwarkapuri, Indore. They introduced her to a man named Prakash from Rajkot, Gujarat, under the pretense of marriage.
Upon discovering a financial transaction between Komal and Prakash, the girl escaped and reported the incident to the police. The police have registered a case against seven individuals and arrested six, including Komal, her husband, and four others involved in taking the minor to Gujarat. The girl revealed that Komal received Rs 1.80 lakh from Prakash. A Special Investigation Team has been formed to investigate further, and strict actions are promised.
The case is filed under sections of kidnapping, rape, and acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention under Bharatia Nyay Sahita. Additional charges, including human trafficking, may be added as the investigation progresses. Efforts are underway to apprehend Prakash, who is also accused in the case.
