An IndiGo flight traveling from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Lucknow, India, had to make an emergency landing at Jaipur airport after a bomb threat was received. The Jaipur police, along with a bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and sniffer dogs, thoroughly checked the plane but found no suspicious objects.

Passenger Safety Ensured

Station House Officer Sandeep Basera confirmed that all 175 passengers were safely reboarded onto the plane after the inspection. The threat was received via email, prompting the emergency landing.

Multiple Bomb Threats on Social Media

Sources from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) revealed that ten bomb threats were posted on social media over two days. Several accounts responsible for these threats have been identified and suspended. Some threats originated from London and other countries.

Security Measures and High-Level Meeting

Airport security officers emphasized the importance of treating every threat seriously to ensure passenger safety. The Ministry of Civil Aviation held a high-level meeting, led by Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, with the Bureau of Civil Aviation and CISF to address the situation.
