Indigo Airlines Fined for Visa Violations by Bureau of Immigration

New Delhi [India], June 27: The Bureau of Immigration (BoI) has fined Indigo Airlines, one of India’s largest airlines, Rs 1 lakh for alleged visa-related violations. InterGlobe Aviation Limited, the parent company of Indigo, revealed that the fine was communicated on June 11. The Bureau of Immigration operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Despite the penalty, the company assured that there is no significant impact on its financials, operations, or other activities. The delay in disclosing this information to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was because the company was considering filing an appeal against the order.
