India’s T20 World Cup Victory Parade in Mumbai with Free Entry for Fans
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Secretary, Ajinkya Naik, announced that the public will have free entry to celebrate the Indian cricket team’s ICC T20 World Cup win. The grand victory parade will take place in Mumbai, starting from Marine Drive and ending at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards.
Celebrations in Delhi
Before heading to Mumbai, the team celebrated in Delhi, including a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The team arrived in Delhi on Thursday morning after being delayed in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl.
Preparations in Mumbai
Ajinkya Naik mentioned that all necessary arrangements have been made with the guidance of Mumbai Police and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The event will have maximum police presence to ensure safety.

MCA member Jitendra Awhad expressed his excitement, stating, “It is a good feeling. After a long time, India won the World Cup and they are going to be welcomed at the land of Cricket, Mumbai.”

India ended a 13-year ICC trophy drought by defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final. Key performances included Virat Kohli’s 76 runs and Hardik Pandya’s 3/20. Jasprit Bumrah, who took 15 wickets throughout the tournament, was named ‘Player of the Tournament’.
