Ambassador Rabie Narsh Highlights Support
India has shown its commitment to helping in times of crisis, as highlighted by Lebanon’s Ambassador to India, Rabie Narsh. During a press conference, Narsh praised India’s quick humanitarian aid to Lebanon amidst the ongoing war in West Asia. He stated, “The humanitarian aid has flooded Lebanon since the aggression started. We have, thankfully, great friends in the world. On top of them is India.”
India has offered about 30 tonnes of medicines to Lebanon, showcasing the strong relations between the two countries. Narsh expressed concerns about the conflict in the Middle East and urged the United States to reconsider its support for Israel, stating that the US has the power to stop Israel’s aggression.
He criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, calling him a “war criminal” and hoped for a change in the US administration to promote peace. The US presidential election on November 5 is seen as a potential turning point.
India has already sent 11 tonnes of medical supplies to Lebanon, with a total of 33 tonnes planned. The supplies include various medications and are part of India’s humanitarian efforts. India also emphasized the safety of UN peacekeepers in the region.
