Thomas, Assistant Nodal Officer of the Meghalaya government, confirmed the arrival of the students. Among the 204 Indian students, 78 are from Assam, 13 from Meghalaya, and 13 from Kashmir.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued an advisory for Indian nationals in Bangladesh to avoid local travel and stay in touch with the High Commission for assistance. Security has been heightened outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal assured that all Indian nationals in Bangladesh are safe and that the situation is being closely monitored. Regular updates will be provided to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian nationals.
