Indian Shooters and Archers Aim for Medals at Paris Olympics 2024
Indian athletes are gearing up for a big day at the Paris Olympics 2024. Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta will compete in the finals of the 10m air rifle event. Ramita finished fifth and Arjun seventh in their respective qualification rounds.
Manu Bhaker, who made history by winning India’s first-ever shooting medal by a woman with a bronze in the 10m air pistol, will compete in the mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh. The men’s archery team, consisting of Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav, will face Turkiye or Colombia in the quarterfinals.
Other Indian athletes will also be in action in hockey, badminton, and table tennis. The Indian men’s hockey team will play against Argentina, while badminton stars Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, Lakshya Sen, and the women’s doubles team of Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa will compete in their respective matches. In table tennis, Manika Batra will face Prithika Pavade of France.
