Indian Riders E Suryaa Aaditya and Avik Bhatia Compete in AEF Cup Youth in Bengaluru

AEF Cup Youth Showjumping Event Returns to India

The Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) is excited to host the Asian Equestrian Federation Cup- Youth (AEF Cup- CSIY-B), a prestigious showjumping event for young riders, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This marks the return of international equestrian events to India after 14 years.

Event Details

The competition will take place at Surge Stable in Bengaluru from October 11 to October 13. It features riders aged 16-21 from 11 countries, including India, competing on borrowed horses with a maximum jump height of 115 cm.

Indian Participants

India will be represented by E Suryaa Aaditya and Avik Bhatia, who excelled in the selection trials. Suryaa, a silver medalist in Dressage and Jumping at JNEC 2022, and Avik, recognized as the best junior and young rider at the Delhi Horse Show, are set to showcase their skills.

International Participation

Riders from Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Iran, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Chinese Taipei, and Uzbekistan will also participate, each sending one rider.

EFI’s Vision

EFI Secretary General Col. Jaiveer Singh expressed pride in hosting this FEI-approved event, highlighting its significance in promoting India as a key player in the global equestrian market and providing local riders with world-class competition opportunities.

Equestrian Federation of India -: The Equestrian Federation of India is an organization that manages and promotes horse riding sports in India.

E Suryaa Aaditya and Avik Bhatia -: E Suryaa Aaditya and Avik Bhatia are young Indian horse riders who are participating in the AEF Cup. They have done well in previous competitions to qualify for this event.
