Indian Railways Runs Special Trains for Chhath Puja Travelers

Indian Railways Ensures Safe Travel for Chhath Puja

Indian Railways is operating special trains to help people travel safely to their hometowns for Chhath Puja. Dilip Kumar, the Executive Director of Information and Publicity for the Railway Board, announced that over 160 trains were run on Thursday, with plans for more than 170 trains today.

Special Arrangements Across Major Stations

Special arrangements have been made at key stations like New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. The Government Railway Police and Railway Protection Force are managing crowds, while Rail Sewaks assist travelers. Additional coaches and CCTV cameras have been added for safety and convenience.

Passengers like Shailendra and Bhushan have praised the railways for managing overcrowding and ensuring cleanliness. They appreciated the online and offline ticket booking options and the special services provided during the festival.

Chhath is a significant festival in northern and eastern India. To accommodate the festive rush, Indian Railways has set up food stalls and RPF desks at stations to assist passengers.
