Indian Navy Joins Rescue for Capsized Oil Tanker Near Oman

An oil tanker named MT Falcon Prestige, flagged by Comoros, capsized off the coast of Oman on July 14. The vessel had 16 crew members, including 13 Indians. The Indian Embassy in Oman and the Oman Maritime Security Center (OMSC) are coordinating search and rescue operations. The Indian Navy’s warship INS Teg and maritime surveillance aircraft P-8I are assisting in the efforts. The tanker was en route to the Yemeni port of Aden and capsized 25 nautical miles southeast of Ras Madrakah.
