Indian Navy Finds Missing Cessna 152 Aircraft in Jharkhand’s Chandil Reservoir

The Indian Navy has successfully recovered the wreckage of a Cessna 152 trainer aircraft from Chandil reservoir in Jharkhand’s Seraikela Kharsawan district. The aircraft went missing on August 20, and a 20-member team from the Eastern Naval Command conducted a 5-day search operation to locate it.

According to the Seraikela Kharsawan district information and public relations department, the bodies of trainee pilot Subhrodeep Dutta and Captain Jeet Shatru Anand were recovered from Chandil dam after an extensive search operation by the Indian Navy and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Thursday, August 22.

Earlier on August 20, it was reported that a training aircraft in Jamshedpur went missing after it took off from the Sonari airport. As soon as the information was received, search operations were launched in the Seraikela district, and the information was shared with the neighboring district of Purulia in West Bengal.
