Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi Visits Bangladesh’s National Defence College

Dhaka, Bangladesh – Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi visited the National Defence College in Bangladesh, where he interacted with Commandant Lt Gen Md Saiful Alam, faculty, and staff. He provided an overview of the security environment in the Indo-Pacific Region from a naval perspective.

During his visit, Admiral Tripathi addressed the NDC Class of 2024 on the topic ‘Turbulent Tides and Times – Steering a Steady Course,’ discussing geopolitical trends and the importance of cooperation among like-minded nations in the Indo-Pacific Region. He emphasized the Indian government’s vision of SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) to ensure a free, open, peaceful, and inclusive Indo-Pacific.

Earlier, pre-sail discussions between the Indian Navy and the Bangladesh Navy focused on enhancing interoperability and planning exercises for the Maritime Partnership Exercise. A friendly volleyball match was held to promote camaraderie between the two navies.

Additionally, the Indian Naval Ship Ranvir arrived in Chattogram, Bangladesh, as part of an operational deployment. The ship will participate in various engagements and maritime exercises, receiving a warm welcome from the Bangladesh Navy.
