The Indian Naval Ship Shardul, part of the First Training Squadron, has arrived in Dubai as part of its Long Range Training Deployment. This visit aims to strengthen maritime cooperation between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi highlighted the visit’s goal to enhance maritime security, interoperability, and foster goodwill between the two nations.

Previous Visit to Oman

Earlier, on October 6, Indian Naval Ships Tir, Shardul, and Indian Coast Guard Ship Veera, also part of the First Training Squadron, visited Muscat, Oman. This visit further strengthened the defense relations between India and Oman. The Indian Navy engaged with the Royal Navy of Oman in various maritime security and interoperability activities, including joint exercises and professional interactions.

Official Visit by VAdm V Srinivas

Coinciding with the visit to Oman, Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command, was on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman. He held bilateral discussions with key Omani defense officials and visited important defense and training installations.
