Indian Ministers Meet Singapore Leaders at India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, along with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and Electronics & IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, met Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable.
Jaishankar expressed his appreciation for Shanmugaratnam’s guidance on advancing the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership. He conveyed warm greetings from President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jaishankar also appreciated Prime Minister Wong’s engagement in the roundtable, highlighting the importance of continued dialogue between the two nations.
Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met former Financial Action Task Force (FATF) President T Raja Kumar. They discussed the strong partnership between India and FATF, focusing on past collaborations and future strategies. Sitharaman congratulated Raja Kumar on his successful tenure and appreciated his fair conduct during India’s Mutual Evaluation Report discussions.
The India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable aims to enhance economic cooperation and address global financial issues collaboratively, fostering mutual growth and development.
