The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has reached out to Union Health Minister JP Nadda, expressing concerns over the delay in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process. This delay is due to an ongoing case in the Supreme Court of India.

The IMA highlighted the growing uncertainty among students about their future, as the delay is causing significant distress to thousands of NEET PG aspirants nationwide. These candidates, who have worked hard to qualify for postgraduate medical seats, are facing prolonged uncertainty due to the judicial proceedings.

The IMA also pointed out the challenges faced by healthcare institutions because of the delay in inducting postgraduate students. The timely induction of these students is crucial for ensuring the availability of medical professionals in hospitals and medical colleges.
