In a brave and coordinated effort, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Indian Army, and Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully rescued three people stranded at Soochipara Waterfalls in Wayanad, Kerala. The rescue operation took place on Saturday after the individuals were spotted during a morning search along the river banks from Mundakai to Soochipara.

The ICG search team reported the presence of the stranded individuals to the control centre at Mepadi. A swift land and air rescue operation was launched, involving teams from the ICG, Army, and IAF. The combined efforts of these forces, using both ground and aerial resources, led to the safe rescue of all three people.

The Indian Coast Guard praised the dedication and quick action of all teams involved. This successful rescue highlights the commitment of the forces to ensure the safety and security of individuals in distress.

Meanwhile, the landslides that occurred on July 30 in Chooralmala and Mundakkai of Wayanad have resulted in 308 deaths. Kerala Health Minister Veena George reported that 215 bodies and 143 body parts have been recovered, including 98 males, 87 females, and 30 children. Post-mortem procedures have been completed on 212 bodies and 140 body parts, and 148 bodies have been identified by relatives so far.
