Indian Driver Sai Sanjay Shines at British GT Championship in Kent
Indian driver Sai Sanjay, from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, finished third overall and secured a podium in the Silver class of the GT4 category at the British GT Championship in Brands Hatch, Kent, UK. The 21-year-old driver, representing the British-based Motorsports team Race-Lab, qualified P4 overall and in his class, driving a McLaren Artura GT4 car alongside British driver Callum Davies.
This is Sanjay’s first year in International GT racing, and he is the first person from Tamil Nadu to complete a full season in the British GT races. His commendable performance is making headlines in India, especially with the news that popular Tamil actor Ajith Kumar will debut in the GT4 next year.
Sai Sanjay, who was the 2022 Indian National champion in the MRF Formula 2000, showcased his driving skills to achieve this rare feat for an Indian driver.
