New York [US], September 20: Members of the Indian diaspora in the US are eagerly awaiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to New York. They have praised his leadership and the work he has done in India.

Excitement Among the Indian Diaspora

Madhav Sumani, a member of the Indian diaspora, expressed his excitement, saying, “I have been super excited to see PM Modi. He has done amazing work in India, like the bullet train initiative, electrification of the railway network, and building concrete houses. I live in Nagpur, and the metro network there is amazing. I really love his aura and energy.”

Mohini Agarwal, another member of the Indian diaspora, is looking forward to PM Modi making immigration easier for the Indian community. She said, “I belong to a small city in India called Mathura. I am excited about PM Modi enabling easier immigration, making our lives easier with visas, and bringing more investments to India. I also hope he makes policies for US students to learn in India.”

PM Modi’s US Visit Schedule

PM Modi will visit the US from September 21 to 23. He will participate in the Quad Summit and address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The Quad Summit will be held in Wilmington, Delaware, hosted by US President Joe Biden on September 21.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri mentioned that the Quad event will allow PM Modi to thank US President Biden and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida for their leadership. Misri said, “This is also a farewell event for President Biden and Prime Minister Kishida of Japan. The Quad event provides the Prime Minister with an opportunity to thank both leaders for their leadership in giving momentum to the Quad partnership.”

Engagements During the Visit

PM Modi will have bilateral meetings with the leaders of Japan and Australia. Misri elaborated, “PM Modi’s visit combines important bilateral, plurilateral, and multilateral aspects. There will be interactions with foreign partners, the Indian diaspora, and business leaders.”

PM Modi’s first talk will be in Wilmington, Delaware, followed by a visit to New York for the Summit of the Future. On September 21, there will be the Quad summit and bilateral meetings. On September 22, PM Modi will interact with the Indian diaspora in Long Island, New York.
