The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has praised the Indian Customs K9 squad for their exceptional skills in detecting narcotics, which play a crucial role in keeping India safe. These talented dogs are trained at the Customs Canine Centre in Attari.

Recent Successes

Recently, K9 Nancy and K9 Yasmi from Kolkata Customs, along with K9 Jano from Cochin Customs, made a significant bust by seizing 31.448 kilograms of ganja on September 24. This is just one of many successes for the squad.

Impressive Track Record

Since November 2020, the K9s trained at the Customs Canine Centre in Attari have confirmed or detected narcotics in 82 cases across India. The Indian Customs K9 squad consists of 242 detector dogs, all trained in-house.

The K9 handlers are essential in maintaining the squad’s excellence, ensuring their canine partners remain sharp and effective. CBIC salutes the K9 squad for their skills and dedication.
