Indian Consulate in New York Launches Internship Portal for Indian Students

The Indian Consulate in New York has introduced a new platform to help Indian students find internships in the US. This initiative aims to support Indian students by providing direct access to internship opportunities at various companies.

The platform, known as the Indian Student Resource Portal, has garnered support from several Indian and American companies. The Consulate announced this initiative on their social media account, stating, “As part of the initiative to support Indian students in its jurisdiction, @IndiainNew York has developed a platform for Indian Students to find internship opportunities at companies in the USA.”

For the third consecutive year, a record number of Indian students have traveled to the United States for higher education. According to the Open Doors Report, the number of Indian students in the US increased by 35% in the 2022-23 academic year, reaching an all-time high of 2,68,923 students. Indian students now make up more than 25% of the over one million foreign students studying in the United States.
