In the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army’s Wussan Battalion of the 34 Assam Rifles has launched an inspiring initiative for young army aspirants. Around 20 candidates are being trained, preparing for their physical tests after a successful initial assessment. The Kangan unit is providing guidance and resources to ensure the aspirants are well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
Comprehensive Support and Community Connection
The Army is offering comprehensive support, including breakfast and train tickets for travel to training locations. This initiative fosters camaraderie and discipline among the youth, strengthening the community’s connection to the armed forces. Aspirants have expressed gratitude, noting the program’s positive impact on their confidence and motivation.
Aspirants’ Experiences
Farooq Ahmad, an aspirant, shared, “I’m currently graduating and heard about the AgniVeer scheme. I was very excited to join the army. My written test has been passed, and I am now preparing for the physical exam.” Another aspirant, Sajad Ahmad, said, “I am trying to pass the exam and get a job. I come here at 6 am, and we have training till 9 am. I want to say that those who are not coming should also come and join.” Aijaz Ahmad added, “Many young people participated in it, from different districts, with 2-3 hours of training provided.”
