The Command Hospital Western Command in Chandimandir, Haryana, has made history by successfully harvesting kidneys after cardiac death and transplanting them into two recipients. This remarkable achievement marks the first time such a procedure has been performed in the history of the Armed Forces Medical Services.

The Indian Army shared this milestone on social media, highlighting the successful transplantation of the kidneys into two recipients: one from the Indian Navy and another a dependent from the Indian Army. This groundbreaking medical feat has given both recipients a new lease on life.
