In Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army jawans celebrated Diwali at the Line of Control, away from their families. They performed Diwali pooja, danced, sang, and enjoyed firecrackers. A jawan expressed, “We are celebrating with our army family, far from home.” He assured the nation, “We are guarding the border. Happy Diwali to all.” Another jawan added, “The Army is our home. We spend most of the year here.” Despite missing their families, they embraced the festival with joy, urging citizens to celebrate at home. Diwali, the ‘Festival of Lights,’ symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, with celebrations starting on Dhanteras and ending with Bhai Dooj.
