Indian Army Hosts Exciting Cross-Country Race in Kupwara for Village Students

The Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles 15 organized an inter-village cross-country championship at Villagam Army Camp in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students in classes 8 to 12 from various villages including Kakrosa, Magam, Gushi, Haphruda, Jaba, and Vilgam block.

Participants Share Their Experiences

Mehreen Aijaz, a participant, expressed her gratitude to the 15 Rashtriya Rifles for the opportunity to participate in the race. She also encouraged children involved in drug addiction to join such events to maintain their health.

Muzamil Zameer Sheikh, who secured the first position, mentioned that he was sent by his school to participate and was thrilled by the large number of participants.

Mohammad Sayed, a teacher, highlighted the significance of the event, noting that thousands of boys participated and it was a great opportunity for them.

Event Organization and Support

Initial screening of participants was conducted at the school level, with teachers registering the participants at nearby army camps. The main event took place at Vilgam Army Camp.

Tabish Sajad, who secured the fourth position, thanked the 15 Rashtriya Rifles and his teachers for their support. He expressed his determination to secure the first position next year.
