Indian Army Begins Phase II of Agniveer Recruitment in Assam
The Indian Army has announced the start of Phase II of the Agniveer recruitment process. This phase is a major step in transforming the Army’s selection procedures to be more efficient and seamless for aspiring candidates.
The first phase involved an online common entrance exam conducted nationwide in April-May 2024. The results of the shortlisted candidates are available on the Indian Army’s official website, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
The upcoming recruitment rally for the Central Districts of Assam, including Sonitpur, Biswanath, Nagaon, and Morigaon, will be held at the Missamari Military Station from July 23 to 27, 2024. Admit cards for the rally can be downloaded from the official website.
The Agnipath Scheme allows selected candidates to serve as Agniveers for a four-year period. After this period, up to 25% of Agniveers may be selected to join the Armed Forces as a regular cadre based on organizational needs and policies.
