Indian Army and Manipur Police Find Big Stash of Weapons in Bishnupur and Imphal East
The Indian Army, along with the Manipur Police, conducted an intensive search operation in the Uyungmakhong area of Bishnupur District, Manipur. They seized two AK-47 rifles, one Sniper rifle, one 9mm Pistol, three Grenades, and other war-like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and disposal.

Earlier, on July 17, a joint operation by the Indian Army and Manipur Police in Imphal East District led to the recovery of a huge cache of arms and ammunition. The operation, which lasted 72 hours, involved the use of Patrol dogs and Explosive Detection Dogs due to the complex terrain. The recovered items included thirteen Long Range Mortars, a Modified Grenade Launcher, a G3 Rifle, six 303 Rifles, and other weapons. These items were also handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and disposal.
