The Tibetan Centre for Conflict Resolution (TCCR) organized a round table discussion in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, focusing on collaborative initiatives, inter-community support, and climate challenges. The event, part of the “Coexisting and Flourishing” series, brought together Tibetan and Indian activists, environmentalists, and local organization members, including the hotel and restaurant association, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, and police representatives.

The discussion aimed to strengthen the long-standing friendship between Indian and Tibetan communities by addressing issues impacting their lives and fostering harmony. Sonam Dechen, associate director of TCCR, emphasized the importance of creating a platform for both communities to share grievances and visions for the future, while also discussing environmental concerns.

Arvind Sharma from Dhauladhar Cleaners NGO highlighted the significance of addressing community problems amicably, while Priya, a research scholar, expressed optimism about the meeting’s outcomes. Established in 2001, TCCR is dedicated to promoting peace and non-violence, having positively influenced over 12,000 people through workshops and training programs.
