Recently, India and Iran signed a long-term agreement to operate the Shahid-Beheshti Port Terminal for 10 years. This agreement, signed between Indian Ports Global Limited (IPGL) and Iran’s Port & Maritime Organisation (PMO), aims to enhance regional connectivity and streamline trade routes, offering an alternative to traditional routes through Pakistan.
