Indian Airlines to Operate 25,007 Weekly Flights in Winter 2024
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced an increase in air traffic for Indian carriers during the winter period. From October 27, 2024, to March 29, 2025, airlines will operate 25,007 weekly flights, a 3% increase compared to the summer period. This schedule was finalized after a slot conference in September 2024, with final clearances from airport operators.
The Winter Schedule 2024 includes flights to and from 124 airports, a slight decrease from 125 airports in the summer. Notably, Pondicherry airport is included, while operations from Pakyong and Tezpur airports are suspended. Indigo leads with 13,691 weekly flights, followed by Air Asia and Air India Express with 2,832 flights.
