During the 92nd anniversary celebration of the Indian Air Force at Tambaram Air Force Station in Chennai, an Indian Air Force jawan fell unconscious. The jawan was seen being carried away on a stretcher.
Tragic Events at Marina Beach Air Show
Earlier, on October 6, five people died due to high temperatures during a mega air show at Marina Beach in Chennai. The event saw 102 people affected by the heat, with 93 initially hospitalized. Five were brought in dead to various hospitals.
Government Response and Criticism
Tamil Nadu’s Health Minister Ma Subramanian addressed the incident, while opposition parties criticized the DMK government for poor administrative arrangements. BJP Tamil Nadu Vice President Narayanan Thirupathy blamed the state government for inadequate planning and traffic management.
Current Hospitalization Status
As of now, only seven people remain hospitalized, with four at Omandurar Hospital, two at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, and one at Royapet Hospital.
