Indian Air Force Delivers 67 Tons of Relief to Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar in Operation Sadbhav

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully delivered 67 tons of essential relief materials to Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar as part of ‘Operation Sadbhav’. This mission was carried out using IAF’s C-17 and IL-76 aircraft, which transported gensets, hygiene kits, temporary shelters, water purification supplies, and medicines.

In a statement, the IAF highlighted the importance of this mission, reflecting India’s commitment to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR). The operation showcases the IAF’s global reach and dedication to supporting nations in need.

On Tuesday, Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, announced that the Navy and Air Force had dispatched a second tranche of aid to Myanmar, which was severely affected by Typhoon Yagi. This included 32 tons of relief material and 10 tons of ration.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also emphasized the government’s efforts in providing humanitarian aid to Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos as part of Operation Sadbhav.

The IAF’s C-17 Globemaster aircraft played a crucial role in delivering aid to Vietnam, particularly in Hanoi, which experienced severe flooding due to Typhoon Yagi.
