The Indian senior women’s football team played an exciting match against Myanmar, ending in a 1-1 draw at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. This was their second and last friendly match against the hosts.

Despite heavy rain, the Blue Tigresses dominated the first half. Pyari Xaxa scored the first goal for India in the 48th minute, but Myanmar’s top-scorer Win Theingi Tun equalized just two minutes later.

India’s head coach Langam Chaoba Devi made one change in the lineup, replacing Sandhiya Ranganathan with Karishma Shirvoikar. Nineteen-year-old Mousumi Murmu made her senior debut in the second half.

India had several chances to score in the first half, with Soumya Guguloth and Anju Tamang coming close. Pyari Xaxa had the best chance but was stopped by Myanmar’s goalkeeper Myo Mya Mya Nyein.

In the second half, Pyari Xaxa finally broke the deadlock, but Myanmar quickly responded with an equalizer from Win Theingi Tun. Both teams continued to search for a winning goal, but the match ended in a draw.

The last 10 minutes were intense, with both goalkeepers making crucial saves. India had a final chance to win in the 94th minute, but Sangita Basfore’s shot went over the bar.
