India vs Bangladesh T20I Series: Aakash Chopra Suggests Tri-Nation Series

As India prepares to face Bangladesh in the second T20I match of their three-game series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, former cricketer Aakash Chopra has proposed the idea of tri-nation T20I and ODI series. He believes that bilateral series often fail to deliver competitive results for broadcasters. India, led by Suryakumar, already leads the series 1-0 after a seven-wicket win in Gwalior.

Aakash Chopra’s Views

Chopra, speaking on his YouTube channel, expressed that bilateral series sometimes lack challenge, as visiting teams often play below par in India. He suggested that tri-nation or quadrangular series could be more engaging. He warned that broadcasters might eventually demand more competitive matches for their investments.

Chopra emphasized the need for cricket boards to be more open to sharing revenue, as global economic changes and league dominance require cooperation. He concluded that returning to tri-nation series could be beneficial.
