In the para shooting mixed 50m rifle prone SH1 qualification, India’s Sidhartha Babu and Mona Agarwal could not qualify for the next round at the Paris Paralympics. Sidhartha finished 22nd with 615.8 points, while Mona finished 30th with 610.5 points.

Earlier, Harvinder secured a historic gold medal in individual recurve para-archery, becoming the first Indian to win a medal in the sport at both the Olympics and Paralympics. He defeated Poland’s Lukasz Ciszek 6-0 in the final. Harvinder also won a bronze medal in the same event at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.

The Indian archery pair of Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi clinched a bronze medal in the mixed team compound event. Pooja narrowly lost 4-6 to China’s Wu Chunyan in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Individual Recurve Open.

Para-athlete Sachin Khilari won a silver medal in the men’s shot put F46 final with a 16.32-metre throw, setting a new area best (AB). He missed the gold by just 0.6m.

On Monday and Tuesday, the Indian contingent won 13 medals, bringing their total to 24 medals (five gold, nine silver, and ten bronze). India is currently ranked 15th in the medal tally and has a chance to win more medals in the remaining days of the Paralympics.
