India Sends Humanitarian Aid to Lebanon Amid Rising Tensions

India Delivers Humanitarian Aid to Lebanon

On October 25, India’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Noor Rahman Sheikh, handed over the first batch of humanitarian aid from India to Lebanon. The consignment, received by Lebanon’s Health Minister Firas Abiad, included 11 tons of medical supplies. This is part of a larger effort to send a total of 33 tons of medical supplies to Lebanon amid ongoing conflicts in the region.

The Indian Embassy in Lebanon expressed India’s commitment to strengthening ties with Lebanon. The medical supplies include cardiovascular medications, NSAIDs, antibiotics, and anesthetics. The initiative highlights India’s proactive support and longstanding friendship with Lebanon.

Lebanon’s Ambassador to India, Rabie Narsh, praised India’s swift response and emphasized the need for the US to reassess its support for Israel, citing concerns over the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
