India and US Team Up for Advanced Drones: Big Boost for Indian Navy and Air Force
India and the US are finalizing a $3.1 billion deal for 31 MQ-9B Predator drones. The deal includes consultancy for developing an advanced Indian drone. The Indian Navy will receive 15 drones, while the Air Force and Army will get eight each. The drones will be deployed at key locations, enhancing surveillance capabilities.
The Defence Acquisition Council will discuss the deal, which aims to boost indigenization in defense. The drones can fly over 36 hours and carry missiles and bombs, enhancing India’s security.
