India and UK Strengthen Cybersecurity and Trade Ties
India and the UK held the Sixth Cyber Dialogue in New Delhi on Wednesday. Officials from both nations agreed to enhance cooperation between their cyber agencies to create a safe and robust cyberspace.

The meeting was co-chaired by Amit A Shukla, Joint Secretary, Cyber Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs of India, and Kat Jones, Head of Strategy and Engagement, Cyber Policy Department, The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the UK.
Delegations
The Indian delegation included officials from various ministries and organizations such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Defence Research and Development Organisation, CERT-In, and National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre. The UK delegation included officials from the National Cyber Security Centre, the Cyber Policy Department of the FCDO, and representatives of the Cyber Policy Team of the British High Commission.
Prime Ministers’ Meeting
On June 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expressed satisfaction with the progress in Free Trade Agreement negotiations. They met on the sidelines of the 50th Summit of the Group of Seven (G7) in Apulia, Italy. Sunak congratulated Modi on his third consecutive term, and both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
They discussed the implementation of the Roadmap 2030 and progress in areas such as defence, security, trade, technology, and people-to-people ties. Modi emphasized the potential to deepen ties in sectors like semiconductors, technology, and trade, as well as further cementing ties in the defence sector.
