External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Union Minister for Communications and Development Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with Romanian Ambassador to India, Daniela-Mariana Sezonov, released commemorative stamps in Delhi. The stamps celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Romania.

Jaishankar expressed his delight in a post on X, stating, “Delighted to release the India-Romania joint commemorative stamps along with my ministerial colleague Jyotiraditya Scindia and Romanian Amb Daniela-Mariana Sezonov today in Delhi. The stamps showcase the deep bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two nations. And is a perfect tribute to the celebrations of 75 years of diplomatic ties.”

He highlighted the close, warm, and substantive relationship between India and Romania. Jaishankar also emphasized the importance of building a modern and dynamic connection between India and Europe, mentioning the India-Middle-East-Europe connectivity corridor as a significant step towards this goal.

Jaishankar noted that Romania holds a crucial position in trade routes between India and Europe and expressed confidence that the connection between India and Europe will develop into a crucial connectivity corridor. He also mentioned the presence of an Indian community of about 9,000 people living in Romania.
