New Delhi, India – India and the Philippines have marked 75 years of diplomatic relations with a special logo unveiled by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The logo, shared by MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, represents the strong friendship, cultural exchange, and shared values between the two countries.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Ambassador Josel Ignacio revealed the logo, which combines Filipino and Indian symbols, highlighting mutual respect and understanding. Dr. Jaishankar emphasized the deep ties rooted in democratic values, pluralistic ethos, and economic commonalities.

He noted the significant growth in trade between the two nations, particularly in sectors like IT, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, automobiles, textiles, and FMCG. The defense and security collaboration has also advanced, supported by shared interests in the Indo-Pacific region.

India and the Philippines established diplomatic relations on November 26, 1949, shortly after gaining independence. The enduring friendship is set to reach new heights as both countries continue to strengthen their ties.
