Imran Khan’s Party Alleges Kidnapping Amid Controversial Constitutional Amendment in Pakistan

Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has raised serious allegations regarding the kidnapping of family members of party member Saadullah Baloch. PTI leader Zartaj Gul claimed that the abductions were intended to pressure Baloch into supporting an unconstitutional amendment. She also mentioned that Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has been missing for three days.

Gul stated, “The PML-N is resorting to every tactic for the unconstitutional amendment, which is not permissible under the constitution.” She vowed to resist the legislation at every place.

PTI Chairperson Barrister Gohar Ali Khan emphasized that such bills could not come suddenly and that no party member would vote under duress. He added, “No member of our party could go with the government; if anyone does so, it will be a violation of the party’s rules.”

Meanwhile, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has decided not to support the government’s proposed constitutional amendments regarding Pakistan’s judiciary. The party has directed its senators to abstain from voting unless they have specific approval from their leadership. Senator Atta-ur-Rehman, the party’s parliamentary leader, sent a policy letter to his fellow senators, emphasizing the need for written authorization from the party’s leadership before voting.

The JUI-F leadership warned that senators who vote without proper authorization could face disqualification.
