Imran Khan Seeks Permission to Meet Sons in Jail

Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has requested permission to meet his sons, Qasim and Sulaiman, in Adiala Jail. The anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi has asked the government and jail administration to respond by July 5.

Khan, who is serving a 10-year sentence for leaking state secrets and a 3-year term for corruption, claims the charges are politically motivated. The hearing is adjourned until July 7.

In his petition, Khan emphasized that meeting his sons is his constitutional and legal right. He urged the public to vote peacefully on February 8 to take revenge for the injustices against him.

Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, vice chairman of Imran Khan’s party, was also sentenced to 10 years in prison for allegedly leaking secret diplomatic correspondence.
