IGP VK Birdi Reviews Security for Amarnath Yatra 2024 in Jammu and Kashmir

Kashmir Zone Inspector General of Police VK Birdi visited the Baltal main yatra camp to review security and facilities for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which runs from June 29 to August 19. Birdi inspected vehicle regulation, disaster management, helipad security, and access control mechanisms. He emphasized efficient resource management and coordination among stakeholders to ensure a safe pilgrimage. Birdi also discussed strategies with police and CAPF officers to enhance security and operational efficiency.
