IAS Puja Khedkar Faces FIR for Faking Identity in UPSC Exams

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has taken serious action against IAS probationer Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar. She is accused of faking her identity to fraudulently exceed the permissible attempt limit in the Civil Service Examination 2022.

Khedkar allegedly changed her name, her parents’ names, her photograph, signature, email ID, mobile number, and address to achieve this. As a result, the UPSC has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against her and issued a show cause notice for the cancellation of her selection and debarment from future exams.

Additionally, Khedkar’s training has been put on hold, and she has been recalled to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. The UPSC emphasized its commitment to conducting examinations with the highest diligence and without compromise.

On July 16, Khedkar was relieved from the District Training Programme of the State Government of Maharashtra. A letter from Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Gadre stated that LBSNAA Mussoorie has decided to keep her district training programme on hold and immediately recall her for further necessary action.
