Hyderabad Police Arrest Brahmaiah for Snatching Kumbham Padma’s Gold Chain

In Hyderabad, police arrested a man named Brahmaiah, aged 23, for snatching a gold chain from a woman named Kumbham Padma in the Hasthinapuram area. The incident took place on June 10, 2024, around 7 pm when Padma was traveling to her house in Vishweshwarayya Colony. An unknown person on a bike approached her from behind and snatched the gold chain from her neck, causing her to fall to the ground.

Padma filed a complaint with the police at 8:15 pm on the same day. Acting on technical evidence and specific information, the police, including the Meerpet Police and Rachakonda Commissionerate, apprehended Brahmaiah on June 20. They seized gold ornaments and a bike, altogether worth Rs 1.6 lakh. A case has been registered under the appropriate section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and further details are awaited.
