Hyderabad Candle March Protests Hassan Nasrallah’s Killing

In Hyderabad, a candle march was organized by Anjuman-E-Masoomeen to protest the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by the Israeli Defence Force on September 27. The event saw participation from Mahdi Shahrokhi, the Consul General of Iran in Hyderabad, along with other Shia leaders.

Consul General Shahrokhi expressed, “We convened to commemorate our beloved leader Hasan Nasrallah, who was assassinated by the Israeli forces after one year of murdering and killing of innocent people.” He also mentioned that an Iranian commander was killed in the attack.

Shahrokhi described Nasrallah as a “symbol of resistance” and criticized the Israeli actions, stating that Iran had shown restraint despite numerous provocations. He emphasized that the attack, which also killed an Iranian general, prompted a strong response from Iran.

Hassan Nasrallah, the ideological head of Hezbollah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike. The White House described him as responsible for a “four-decade reign of terror.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Nasrallah “the main access of Iran’s axis of evil” and stated that his death would help bring peace to the region.
