In a shocking incident in Mumbai, a human finger was discovered in an ice cream cone. The DNA report revealed that the finger belonged to Omkar Pote, an Assistant Operator Manager at Fortune Dairy in Pune.

Incident Details

On June 13, a 26-year-old doctor from Malad West found the finger in his ice cream cone. The finger was identified as part of the middle finger of Omkar Pote’s right hand, which was severed on May 11, 2024, while he was removing an ice cream lid from a machine.

Police Investigation

Senior Police Inspector Ravi Adane of Malad Police Station stated that the incident occurred during the packing of ice cream cones. The manufacturing date of the ice cream matched the date of the accident. The police have registered a case under sections 272, 273, and 336 of the Indian Penal Code for negligence and are conducting further investigations.

Inspector Adane confirmed that the DNA sample matched Pote’s and that action will be taken against those responsible.
