HP CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Lays Foundation Stone for Rs. 33.75 Crore Tourism Complex in Bilaspur

On Sunday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu laid the foundation stone for a new tourism complex in Auhar, Bilaspur district. The project, costing Rs. 33.75 crore, will include modern facilities such as a hotel block, food court, and recreational zone, and is expected to be completed within two years.

Features of the Tourism Complex

The hotel block will have a reception area, a restaurant for 60 people, a conference room for 30 people, a Dham hall for 400 people, a banquet hall for 300 people, rest rooms, kitchen, and toilets. It will also offer 40 guest rooms. The food court will accommodate 214 people and feature eight stalls, a pickup area, common toilets, a kid’s play area, and a green area.

The recreational zone will include a swimming pool, gym and spa, pantry, store, back office, and toilet facilities on the ground floor. The first floor will have an indoor games room, lobby area, four massage rooms, and additional toilet facilities. Additionally, the complex will feature a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 50 KLD, green grassing, royal palm trees, and a sprinkler system.

Future Plans and Government Commitment

The Chief Minister announced that the second phase of the complex will be constructed on the opposite side of the road and will include an amusement park for children, a food court, and other essential amenities, costing Rs. 150 crore. He emphasized the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and providing world-class facilities for tourists, which will boost the state’s economy and create employment opportunities for the youth.

Political Statements

During the event, Sukhu expressed gratitude to the people of Himachal Pradesh for supporting the Congress government in the Assembly bypolls. He accused the BJP of attempting to topple the government and urged them to adopt a constructive role in the Opposition. He also called on BJP leaders to advocate for the state’s interests with the union government.

Public Engagement

The Chief Minister listened to public grievances and received a cheque for Rs. 31,000 for the CM Relief Fund from Lamberdar Jan Kalyan Sangh. Several dignitaries, including Town and Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani and former MLAs, were present at the event.
